Laboratory

Our laboratory, headed by Debbie Best, our fully qualified technician, is equipped with the latest haematology and wet chemistry machines.

We continually upgrade our laboratory equipment, so as well as routine biochemistry and electrolyte monitoring  we can test for coagulation disorders, some hormonal changes,  specific tests for pancreatic disease, inflammatory markers  and tests measuring the levels of ” blood gases”.

This allows us to conduct rapid on-site blood analysis, which is particularly valuable for emergency cases. In addition, we have a variety of other equipment that allows us to analyse urine, faeces, hair and skin samples including bacterial culturing and sensitivity equipment, some viral testing  and fungal tests.
